Kobza player

Kobza is a national Ukrainian musical string instrument. It always had some special meaning, due to the fact that kobzas were used primarily by old itenerant people, who were both playing kobza and storytelling at the same time. Major topic of storytelling was the history of Ukraine, and acute social problems of those times as well. The culture of playing a kobza is called 'kobzarstvo'; nowadays it is primarily practiced by enthusiasts of history and Ukrainian culture.
