The statue was built to last over 150 years; it is now about 30 years old. It might survive an earthquake up to 9 points strong. Built either of titanium or stainless steel.

62m high (102m with a pedestal it stands on).
The sword is 16m long and weighs 9 tons; by the original project it should have been 28m long, but unknown considerations led to the 12m shorter sword.
The shield's size is 8 by 13m, and weight is 13 tons.

The statue in its entirety is welded from pieces 25-30 tons each, and weighs 530 tons.

The concrete base of the statue is 34 metres in diameter, and goes 18m below the surface of the hill.

There is a WWII museum in and around the statue.

Some Kyyivites tell stories that on specific days, sharp at midnight, the statue bangs the sword on the shield 12 times. Well, who kows...
